About You and Me

Continued from Home page

It wasn't until Elvis' death in 1977 when radio stations played many of his songs in tribute that I learned about him. His voice and style was amazing and I began collecting his albums and other memorabilia. It wasn't until many years later that I actually sang as Elvis for the first time. As an Elvis tribute artist I have met many wonderful people and feel truly fortunate to do something I enjoy so very much. I am living a dream.

I perform many Elvis songs from the '50s, '60s, and '70s including gospel and Christmas songs. Typically an hour show will include some songs from every phase of Elvis' musical catalog. However, I can tailor a show to meet your individual needs. Some examples include a show featuring songs from a specific era, such as the 1950s, or a themed show, such as movie songs or a Christmas show.

Thank you for remembering Elvis!

1,000 Shows

In August of 2024 I achieved a personal record of doing an amazing 1,000 shows! These include assisted living communities all across the state, public venues like supper clubs and diners, and a wide range of private parties. I have done shows for anniversaries, birthdays, wedding receptions, (and even a baby shower), backyard themed parties, the Milwaukee State Fair, fund raisers, libraries, community events, and corporate events.

Another 2024 highlight was providing some entertainment at former Milwaukee Brewer owner and major league baseball commisioner Bud Seiig's 90th birthday extravaganza.

I greeted movie goers at the Marcus Cinema in Appleton on opening night of the new Elvis movie starring Tom Hanks and Austin Butler.

Television Spot

In 2019 I appeared on a local morning TV show that highlights community events. Broadcast live from Smith Park in Menasha, I was promoting PorchFest. A musical evening with a variety of artists performing on the porches of homes around the park.

SPARK Conference

I attended a SPARK conference in 2018. SPARK is about developing engaging activities to enhance programs for people with memory loss. The conference featured nationally recognized speakers and in-depth hands-on sessions. Topics included building community partnerships, brain health, art-making, music and memory,  and more.

This is a very important topic for me as I have the privilege of entertaining at many assisted living communities, including memory loss units within those communities. My show is always about the residents. Touching hearts, lifting spirits, and putting a smile on faces is my goal.

Elvis Tribute Contests

When I first started on my journey as an Elvis Tribute Artist, I participated in a handful of Wisconsin contests. In 2013 and 2014 I won The Kings of The Valley contest held in Oshkosh. I was also a finalist at Elvis Fest in Necedah.

In 2015 I participated in The Elvis Explosion. This large scale production contest is held every September in La Crosse and draws people from all across the country. Contestants sing with a professional Elvis tribute backing band. It’s an experience for sure! I was a finalist at this event.

In 2016 and 2017 I participated in two more contests. In Search of The King in Waupan and Rockin’ With The King in Wautoma. I placed first and second place respectively.

Fundraisers

I have provided entertainment at a variety of fund-raiser events, too. Some have been about building programs (Menasha Senior Center), battling disease (Cystic Fibrosis), and the offsetting of medical expenses (private individuals).
